These club situations with the potential for violence are really lame.

What they did in Calgary a while back was to make some clubs private. You had to buy a membership for a small fee, and then use your membership card to get in. When you bought your membership you had to provide some ID.

This was really a way to get around the drinking laws at the time which made it hard to open a regular public drinking place. But it would increase security.

People are less likely to act violent if their identity is known, like if their name has been ticked off on a membership list when they come in the door.

it sucks that this shit has to happen to people who are just trying to have fun.... why people act the way they do (well ide have to be a pyschiatrist to figure that out) ... (yes i spelt pychiatrist wrong).... Hopefully these types of situations wont arise again.... i would also like to point out that ive been to the blox 5 weeks in a row for Frequency fridays By the Bassjunkies... we have been lucky to not experience these types of problems on friday nights(knock on wood) .. i know the blox may not be the best place to party at , but ide have to say that i have had some good times there in the past month... People say bad things will happen there .. but bad things will happen anywhere .. doesnt matter what time of day or where you are or who your with .. shit happens... Best of luck with future nights at the blox...
