Small to massive events/club nights etc. Opened for names like Armin van Buuren, Woody (Binary Finary), Infected Mushroom, Code IV, Lisa Lashes, John 00 Fleming, Stimulant DJs, Knuckleheadz, etc .............. What National / International clubnights have you played at? Harder styles usually don't fit well in clubs, I try and stick to major events or rare harder specialty club nights. Recent clubnights include Lisa Lashes & Infected Mushroom Tour. Have you got any DJing horror stories? DJ's always put up with nightmares ... have you ever come across a perfect setup? If I had to pick the worst we'd look @ Sonic Playground 4 in Calgary AB. Decks Jumping (mounted to the dancefloor!?), CDJs Not working at all, Cues not working on the mixer, monitors intermittent, Trim grounding out the entire system w/ feedback if it was touched, and only the right channel on your headphones working with the mixer. coincidences of sorts...
heh, yeah! My buddy, from Vancouver, is going to school in Edmonton. He comes out here last winter and we go down to Seattle to see Tiesto, and he gives me this great stuff, DJ Kristoff, that turned up on some p2p network with a generic electronica search keyword. When we get back from a blast down south, we spend a bit of time on the computer, and hey, DJ Kristoff has an official website, nice, hey he's Canadian, no kidding... omg, he's frmo Edmonton! "I know where this is!" he says of the mailing address on the site. He was convinced with a name like Kristoff and with the calibre of the material, that he was a big European act. That's hillarious. p2p is awesome.
And on his way back to Edmonton, we bust out to Seattle again for Apocolypse NYE, and John '00' Flemming kicks our asses silly! Back in Edmonton, he emails me and tells me to check out Kristoff's site. John '00' Flemming and DJ Kristoff are rocking Edmonton on Jan 16th! Messed up, life's funny sometimes. As I'm told, those two ripped it up gooood. The night addix mixes is some of the best hard trance I've heard so far, top notch super high energy solid stuff. I can't help but get right pumped when I listen to them, and all I want to do is party and dance like mad.
