BENNY BENASSI! (Italy) Sat Nov 6th

Tazix suprised me with some good prog.

Andy Clockwork was amazing. :)

650 people in the drink made for quite the vibe. I couldn't believe how nuts people were going! Made for a wicked party. :D

Benassi was dissapointing. For a guy thats top 10 in the world or whatever (#6???) I was suprised to see that he had troubles mixing and that he just banged out huge tunes the whole set (no real set structure). He played some cool tunes but I think Andy Clockwork showed him up 100%.

Regardless, it was fun chilling with a bunch of people and it was just a wicked-rad night!

Great job Dave and Rick. The Drink never looked so alive!

Cheers!

~Sean Gallagher

havent seen the drink packed like that for awhile! (or should i say the red room). Massive props to Rick and Dave for putting on a kick ass show, Tazix had a great flow going for his whole set, and Clockwork never disappoints. I dont know my house that well, so everything Benassi played sounded fresh!

Benassi packed the Drink!!

Benassi is the effin MASTER!!! Good show. Best night I've been to all year (plus Armin and counting). WOW. He threw every song down with precision timing and stealth. Teasing us with Satisfaction throughout the whole set, then finally giving us the goods at about 2:45am!!! And the remix, uughh, simple, but worked it!! Then pulled out the old skool Prodigy right after it! Hit my heart was the memorable moment of the night for me. Waaa!!! Tazix was good too.

P.S. Check out the effin pic of Benassi texting from his cell phone during set. Who does that?! Even though he did that numerous times, he still rocked it and made it look easy doing it.

Thank you to Agroculture (mwah!!) and Bassline for the excellent visuals and night!!! The accordian visuals were abso-fucking-lutely hilarious!!!! Good job guys.

Overall great show just due to the large, excitied crowd. As for Mr. Benassi I'm with Sean, big choons but mixing was just all over the place. (Just goes to show what a crock DJ Mag's top 100 is...)

Thanks to Rick, Dave and the Loaded boys!

The only stealth I saw from Benassi was the looks that he was flashing some smoking blond chick that was dancin near the dj booth. As for his mixing/track selection, it was far from precision and stealth. He had no flow but then again I guess he could have played anything to such a killer crowd like that! :D

Wicked night! :D

I did have a great time for the time I was at Benassi... Dennis (Tazix) opened things up right... wicked job bro. Andy got up there after and opened things for Benny up right.

Wicked job to Dave, Rick and crew. The place looked great and was PACKED. TONS of hotties there.

I was totally disappointed with Benny Benassi though. He played a couple of electro-type tracks that were kewl but his mixing was BRUTAL. As it was said... no flow and complete lack of precission. Also, horrible track selection... not saying that the tracks that were played were bad, I just mean the order they were played and thus the way they were mixed were horrible.

It was great seeing all that I did... TONS of FnKers, CV'ers and more. Ahhhh good times!

Peace.

Is it me or was there a way above normal amount of hot chicks there?
There were hotties everywhere!
I think cargo is the only other electronic clubnight that attracts those girls

Basically what I meant wasn't the mixing per say but the way he rocked the crowd!! He read the room well and kept the vibe flowing. Mixing, not many people know the diff anyway (check out CV and see what they say - haha). Fast n slow; go off or take a breather. It was there. I'm picky with other things but glad I'm not with the music. So I'll just sit back (dance my ass off) and enjoy, it's more fun that way!!

Oh yeah! Horrible track selection?!?!? That is a matter of opinion.

The crowd was eating out of his hands even before he put his first track on, he could have played anything and they would have gone off! HYPE!

I didn't mean his tracks sucked ass, I meant he could have played and mixed them in a better order.
