It's been crazy the past couple of months with work, I have to admit.

I really have been meaning to record a CD - I just haven't had the time with all this travel for work. :( Soon though... soon!

Well I was starting to make one several months ago... even had the track listing done but then Azim decided to redo our office. (We installed a new custom desk, etc.) As a result, there is no room for my computer with all of the damn software I need on it. Sheeeiiiit.

I'll be taking care of that soon as my room is a sty with stacks and stacks of records disorganized and all over the place.

but i just got my computer.. and shelling out for another laptop isnt going to work right now.. but serato is def the way to go..

btw.. someone really needs to teach me how to set that shit up.. u should see me with wires trying to hook up the amp and speakers and stuff.. i'm like a lost little puppy dawg...

You have to learn that shit. I don't know how many gigs I've shown up to where something isn't working right (Akeel will know exactly what I'm talking about). You have to figure it out, re-wire and get the shit to work quickly.

It could be as simple as wetting the contacts on the needle, realizing the ground's not attached to the mixer, etc, etc. The point is anything that could technically go wrong during a set looks bad on the DJ so yeah - you gotta learn all that stuff, Serato or not!!! And yes, I can show you a thing or two about that.

honestly serato's dope, but way tooo many times shit goes down when people try to set it up during the previous djs set.. i mean, if u are going to use it, know how to set it up and not leave the party with dead air... always get soo choked!

Sorry... I know how to set it up -- I just mean that I haven't started using it and gotten it formally setup with my gear here. I buy a ton of records and so I have to have the ability to rip them if I'm going to use it properly.
