no offence to anyone . but florida breaks are terrible..... i tried listening to some the other day but i just couldnt do it......Icey and fixx put out a new tracks the other week.. and i cant see how they still get away with making that music... (remember this is just my opinion)

i agree that florida has goten really boring but the older stuff is the shit, and im sure triple d will pull out some crazy old school tunes. To me it all sounds the same when it comes to florida now. I find it harder and harder to find tunes i like, and thats probably why im buying alot of house. But old florida is sick.

Everyone goes through phases... back in the day, Florida used to be popular but mind you back in the day, Florida had a totally different sound than it does now. Even Icey or Icee as he produced under way back when, is playing a lot of UK-based tunes now.

Today's Florida sounds WAY to manufacturerd or "fake" for my liking. Don't get me wrong, mad respect for dudes like Fixx who are producing like 2-3 records a week on various labels...

I have a ton of old school Florida I bought off of Deliverance that he used to play way back when he played Breaks!

I'll listen to it every now and then just for kicks, but I haven't played a Florida chune out in ages.

Saying all this doesn't mean I won't listen to the odd new Florida track coming out... I play funk and don't care where it comes from but I haven't heard shit that I like coming from Florida in a VERY long time.

I crave quality production with real instruments, vocals, funky sounds and basslines.

I agree totally about florida nowadays.
It's just not as good as it used to be.

There's still the odd new one I buy but I'm hooked on the the nu-skool/funky thing now.

But most of the florida I'd play on newyears would be 1999-2001 pretty much.

actually I havent heard florida tunes yet - so at the very least I'll be hearing some new shit and Im sure triple-d will make even the low quality of tracks sound rippin - so one way or the other this nite is going to be SICK.

I leave in 24.5 hours for my NYE adventures...Just wanted to say HAPPY NEW YEAR too all and I know without a doubt ya'll have an amazing time at Old School :D

Wish I could be there but I'll be thinking of ya'll just across the water..I've been told I have to call over at some point during the night so if you get any drunken msg's from americans or any other accents *giggles* it wasn't me!!!
