Dillinja was wikkid!!!! IT was what a expected.
Did not like the club though it was too nice and there were too many lights. I felt like I was at a rave. The staff were assholes too. THe funniest part of the night was when this short WHALE of a Chick came into the Mosh pit swing her arms around like a retard then fell on her ass. I jsut stood back and laughed with everyoen else. Bobby T werd buddy it was great you came out. |

Yeh good show while i was there, Matty bringin my proper DNB fix, lots dope new shit.. tearing us apart sounded killer.. Dillinja was dropping some pounding basslines, too bad i had to leave so early, barely got to see him get into the mix more... i had to have a drink at lunch to keep myself from passing out at work, ugh.

big ups to everyone who came out last night, 'twas an automatic show for the ages!!!
extra big-ups to matty, graeme and elan for holding it down, and for elastic with the visual steez. huge ups to OJ and Priceless for the help with the monitor situation, and nora and ash at the door. huge ups for the one jay dabbler for picking him up at the airport huge ups to dillinja for laying it down so fat despite starting off his day about 21 hours before in London MASSIVE ups to the one link for playing chauffeur huge ups to my big iron balls...  thursday 4:08- "jay, this is dillinja, i was searched by US customs in San Fran and missed my connecting flight, I'm trying to get on standby at 8:30, I'll call you at 8:00 and let you know..." thursday 8:14- "jay, this is dillinja, I made the flight, I land in Vancouver at 10:50" thursday 11:21- "jay this is dabbler, i'm at the airport, he's not out yet" thursday 12:24- "jay this is link, i talked to customs, they're just sorting out his visa, they said it'd be another 10 minutes" thursday 12:39- "jay this is link, he's here, we're on the way" thursday 12:51- "alright mate, nice to meet you, I'm up now, yeah?" the most surprising discovery of the night is that my worst nightmare doesn't involve sharks, spiders, or a public lack of pants, but involves standing at the door to a nightclub with a clipboard taking names and addresses so i know who to send refunds to... |

To the whole automatic crew! Fucking PROPER!
The venue, the atmosphere, the people. i am so impressed with the Vancouver music scene right now, it was like seeing him live in the U.K. with all my local faces and friends. I stood on the left side ledge almost the whole night watching everything, taking it all in. When i heard that Dillinja was stuck at customs and wasnt going to make it!!! i panic'd and told people who needed to know! So glad that everything worked out! Hightlights: -kim and i outside watching 'the van' -Val in the mosh pit falling cause she was sooo drunk and pushed the wrong little dooder!->it really was funny to see val. -Not thinking HE was coming@!- -Trying to find the girls bathroom then having to climb all the windy stares in a pee-efforted-madness! -Getting behind the stage at the end -Matty telling Dawson to shut up -Getting Vinyl signed by the man himself. holy.....one hell of a party. definately comparable to aphrodite. just finished a 10 hour shift, on no sleep, sketched out all day...and so totally worth it.....we should all do it again next week!
