they do suck. and the situation sucked but honestly I think the promoters should have either NOT thrown the party, or found a different venue, they were asking to get it shut down by having it there

^ Ya, they were just looking for any issue to break it up. Having open liquor outside was good enough for them to do so. I agree. Oh well. This is a good learning experience. I have some great ideas for parties this spring and summer, which I will explore further in detail. Should be good...

Believe me, I did everything in my power to get another venue. I had the original venue cancell on me on wednesday evening. So I explored about 20 different venues in the lower mainland, but due to short notice and no permit by the city, I couldn't get any other venue. Bah. next time..... :)

my highlight was just fucking around on the decks before the party.

Im sorry for last night, I really and truly am. I thought things would go down ok, I honestly didnt think the cops would shut us down.

I need to give as big thanks to all the DJs who spun, to Tristan, to Lisa, to Kaschelle and her friend, to our security guys, BT, and basically everyone who helped set up

This party had a really solid potential, I know the venue could have been better, but that was the best we could do.

Im angry that the owners decided to sell booze without telling us first, which is why the party actually GOT busted, it had little to do with the antics at BBW.

I wanna fix this guys, Steve and I are out a LOT of cash, oh well, Im more upset nothing was RAISED for charity. Like I said, I wanna fix this, and will do my best

Oh BTW if anyone was there and saw the sketchy guy in the red shit, the hat and the fucked up lips, oh that was me FOR SURE. Rock on bear mace.

Yea I feel just terrible though, I mean sale of booze to minors is WEAK shit to get busted on. We didnt know until the owner was actually selling booze so we had to go check IDs and mark hands...this was supposed to be an all ages sort of deal...fuck...oh well. Like I said, Im making up for this one PROPERLY.

you shouldn't be doing drugs if you're throwing an event.
well, at least not until after like 4 or 5 when you don't have any more bullshit to deal with, and you know the cops aren't gonna show :P

i just say that because you're in charge, and a lot of people's well being can depend on your actions. props to throwing your first show and getting such good reviews and such. good luck on future shows!!!!

i'm pretty sure it did have to do with what happened last weekend. after something like that, the cops would have been highly stupid NOT to check out anything going on at that venue for the next few weekends.

Oh I knew they would come, but I thought we had all the paperwork and planning in order to deal with them and I still do, just the whole booze thing really gave the cops a very very solid point on which to shut the party down.
