Actually.. no one cares about any of the dj's.
about 10% of the people who are going actually know who yoji biomehanika is.
less than that know who scott project is.

why did they sell out? constant advertising, radio play. (excessive amounts of hype)

to the 90% of people going.. its a night to do drugs, escape from reality and enjoy some music that they think is pop-music.
In reality.. you're in the minority cause if i were to spend $80+ on a ticket to see yoji or spend $10-15 to see some wicked dnb, breaks.. I'd spend the $10-15 cause chances are the dj's are going to be able to put on an amazing show.
I think Yoji will be dissapointed with the crowd. Spinning for 80,000 at sensation and all those other places then come to vancouver and spin for 2,000 maybe less considering the other rooms can hold about 100-200 people and the smoking pit can hold maybe 300? Then there's the people that are just walking around.

I agree with you about the percentage of people who really ain't gotta clue as to the headliner DJ's such as Yoji. But I don't think Yoji will be disappointed... Keep in mind he is probably going to use Vancouver as a "test" because from what I understand Sensation Black is in 2 weekends....
And as per the size of the venue.... Well what can you do.... Even the floorspace in bc place stadium would suck ass to try and hold a huge event such as IMF. You need a nice indoor baseball stadium like the big "o" in montreal or toronto or seattle.... Of course in europe they got those massive soccer stadiums that can fit ten's of thousands of people just on the field......
