On the international stage Paul Mendez has played in 23 different countries over the past 12 years at some of the world's best and biggest club nights, such as Privilege, Bora Bora, Es Paradis and El Divino (Ibiza), Afterhour power (Los Angeles), RA (Las Vegas), BCM (Mallorca), Slinky (Japan & Singapore), Bacchus clubs (Panama & Columbia), Shadow Lounge (Miami), Melkweg (Amsterdam), Cherrymoon & Versuz (Belgium) etc.

Paul has also had a highly successful production career over the years with his main projects including Jacob & Mendez, Exposure with (PUSH), Svenson & Gielen with whom he co-wrote the massive hit Twisted, Morpheus (with The Thrillseekers) and Fenix which is being received very well in America and the UK. Over a 6 year period he has released 48 singles in 25 countries worldwide and has licensed tracks on more than 100 compilation albums with sales totalling over 6 million. PAUL MENDEZ is a master of the technical side of dj'ing and is one of the few djs around the world who has the talent to match the BIOG, He has a vast collection of music covering many styles which he uses to create that special vibe at whichever party he plays at. We searched long and hard for a Breaks DJ that could headline our Broken Beat rooom. We needed raw talent, sick tracks, and experience behind the decks. We finally found that in Toronto's Plastic Motive, a man who obviously has played a fundamental role in the Toronto breaks scene. Expect something a little different from what you normally hear in Seattle as this brother from Ontario brings the Canadian FUNK!!




At the age of 26, Jeff Harris aka PlasticMotive has run 3 different production companies (Sourkee, NeXstep, B.B.C.), as well as two very successful weekly events (Re-Form and Funk’N Fridaze), and has played a major role in the Toronto underground electronic music scene ever since. Jeff began spinning in 1998 and landed his first gig in little under a year, for a charity event called Bite The Bullet. Currently he holds down DJ residency spots with 8 additional companies (Nightmare, Goodfellaz, Bekkaboo, BetterThan, Funkadelic, ONdaFLY, Embryon, and Impure) in the Southern Ontario area. He describes his style as ‘impeccably unique’ as he always strives to stay ahead of the game with his sound. It’s for this reason he is now entertaining international inquiries from all over the world. He plays hard. He plays funky. He’ll make you freak on the dance floor like you’ve never freaked before!! Breaks, beats, and heavy bass are at the top of the menu when this man comes to town, and he’ll serve it to you Red Hot! Get ready to ROCK!!!

With over five years of experience behind the turntables and a decade of classical training, Moon’s artistic innovations on the decks are far beyond the norm. Considered one of the most technically proficient DJs in Vancouver, his ear for impeccable music is unbeatable. Not only limiting himself to his specialized sound of drum ‘n’ bass, you’ll hear him dropping house, breaks, hip hop, and even R&B when the time is right. A former b-boy and raver, Moon’s beats are a product of years on the dance floor. As a promoter in the local club scene, Moon concludes that DJs should be true to the art and not let the economics mess with the ideal of “keepin’ it strictly recreational.” Expect a wide spectrum of sounds from this Vancouver boy including the funkiest, grooviest tracks, to the most badass, dirty beats.
