TIESTO @ TURNMILLS//London UK , July 29th/05
Tiesto, finally! been waiting so long for him to play.
Got the night started at the pub, soon after we found the club they call "Turnmills" (One of London's best Trance Club) . Let me tell you one thing first of all, i have never seen such fucked up organization. About 500-700 people were waiting in the queue, and most of them were Ticket holders! But lucky for me, i had guestlist. But even when we entered the club, it was shit packed. Spanish, Italians, Brits, you name it, seemed like all races were at this event. -- Long story short -- Tiesto was on @ 2:00am and would finish at 5:00am, a hefty 3 hour set, not bad for 15 quid. He started out his set with a little progressive, which was ok.. for 20mins. The guy was pretty much spinning prog. with a few classics (like Andain-Beautiful things). What really disapointed me was that he didnt even play his well known productions, like Suburban train, or even Traffic! I dont know what it is, but i wasnt feeling his set one bit. What happened to the euphoria? Then again, can't be too harsh on the guy, he did get the crowd going like crazy all night. For fuck sakes, u couldnt even dance on the dance floor, let alone the area around it. Still lots of respect for Tiesto, as he was one of the many dj's that got me into this whole crazy scene/music genre. Props. Thats it really, so to sum it up : it was crowded / hot / tiesto wasnt playing his best. If Synx opens up a gallery for this, ill be happy to post some pictures of the show. later. btw: its 2pm and i still havent slept, plus the hangover *bleh* so this review probably hasnt been written right. :P Last edited by Hero.Skye; Jul 30, 05 at 07:21 AM. |
