KRAFTY KUTS is one of Vancouver’s favourite party-rockin DJ’s… proof was at his completely sold out show at Sonar back in February!

Amongst his crazy DJ and studio schedule, at this year’s 2005 Breakspoll Awards, he took the much coveted “BEST DJ” award proving once again this man is at the top of his game. Krafty is now finishing work on his much anticipated debut solo album on Against the Grain due out in Feb. 2006 featuring collaborations with Tim Deluxe, Freq Nasty and the Scratch Perverts, among others. -- He will be showcasing some of these fresh beats at this show including “Freakshow” which will be huge!!!

Adam ‘A.Skillz’ is just 23 years of age and has been producing music and DJ’ing now for more than 6 years. He has gained a reputation for himself as a studio wizard, musical maestro and tantalizing turntablist. His incredible deck talents involve fusing funk, hip-hop and breaks with his own style of highly innovative scratching and sampling. Those that have the tunes “Tricka Technology” or “Simple Things” in their bag know what this guy can do.

We are excited to have A. Skillz in his first visit ever to Vancouver to perform in a 2x4 battle versus none other than Krafty Kuts. This unique battle has gone off huge overseas at shows and festivals too numerous to list, and this will be the first time ever it is being showcased in Canada!

I am excited to bring a setup and a show that's never been done in Vancouver before... actually in Canada for that matter.

This 2x4 show has gone off massive at parties and festivals all through-out Europe, Australia and abroad. I can't wait to see what these boys are going to lay down...

I will probably end up breaking the night down in 2 parts:

First 2 hours = Krafty vs. A. Skillz 2x4 set
Last 1 hour = Krafty Kuts exclusive Breaks set

Krafty threw in like 5-6 DnB tracks at the end of his set because hell, the guy played for 3 hours straight!

As I mentioned above, this time around will be different. The 2x4 setup is nothing like you peeps have heard, let alone seen done live. -- Those that received a copy of the 62 track, hour long set these boys did that I handed out at Summer Break know what I'm talking about.

That being said, with Krafty having only an hour for an exclusive Breaks set, you can bet that going to be jammed with fresh beats especially from his new album due out in February.

I know I've said it a million times, but I should probably remind you to be there early.

If you recall, before we even opened the doors at 10PM, there was a line of about 200 peeps down the street to get in. -- By that point, we only had about 50 or so tickets reserved for door sales.

The combination of these 2, at this price on Halloween is gonna make things even more mental. -- Halloween brings out the "crazy" in all of us!

I think I may do what I did last year. (Of courrse I'll post all the info as soon as I do it.) Last year I dropped off 50 tickets at $15. That's the benefit of dealing with only 1 ticket location and 1 online location.

Krafty was last here at the beginning of February so that would be 8 months ago come the end of October.

As for The Freestylers... I'm working on something right now actually! ;)
