Its unfortunate the shows are close together but with promotional material already in place, a legal venue already booked, a set date on our all night permit and licensing, and half our djs already confirmed, we were not about to move this show or change the concept to fit in with someone else's party (which was announced LAST WEEK, not LAST MONTH like ours). Both shows are going to do great. Look at 'Ice' and our show, 'In The Mix'. They are SIX DAYS apart, both are big Trance shows, both at the same venue, and both are nearly sold to capacity. So I am not worried about these shows interfering with one another, they're totally for different crowds. I have the utmost respect for Josh and all the shows he throws in this scene. He's one of the few promoters in this city who sticks to his roots and helps the 'underground' to continue to flourish so he gets massive kudos for that. I hope that you guys honestly support both shows, if you can. They're really not that similar. Different styles of music, different lineups, and different vibes, but both will kick ass. Looks like a good show...
I think posting parties involving Trance is useless on FnK... all you get is people bitching about the Trance... bitching about the date when the promoters know the bitch-ee will never attend the party to begin with... and in the end all the promoters get is like 5 people attending from FnK. It isnt a life or death situtation if a party isnt posted on a message board in my opinion, in the end the word will get out and people will still be talking about it. Thats my 2 cents. |
