Has anyone who currently has a MySpace Music page had to delete their old normal myspace in order to get their myspace name (www.myspace/you)?

does this work?

Ive got a current myspace. but I want my name to go to my new music one. Do I simply delete my old one and my name will work or what?

you should be able to switch your personal one to music but the way to do it is hidden under layers and layers of superfluous links and clicking in the FAQ somewhere. I learned how to do it a while ago but I can't figure out how to do it again...

i do, and it doesnt do anything. I get the music artist info, but it wont let me change anything, and i have no songs uploaded and cant upload any, and it says Ive uploaded my max number of songs!?!

Ya, it le failed for me too, just tried entering "Upcoming Shows" and it does save them, but it doesn't post them in may profile.... grr :(

Im wondering if I managed to switch to a music page a while back and its just fucked up like everything else on MySpace!

I tried a lot of things but I also wasn't able to convert my existing account to a music one.

I emailed Myspace support... so hopefully we'll know how to do this in the future!

Why don't you try emailing myspace about it... I'm sure there is some way. I know though that once you pick a link for your site you cannot change it... they say that when you sign up

sometimes it actually does take that long
