I suck at spelling (it's so bad that I always have m-w.com open in another window), but it drives me crazy when I see "definetley".

I've even found Grapes to be guilty of this offense at least once.

I am totally guilty of doing this.

I do "definately" as well =/

It's pretty much the only spelling mistake that bothers me.
I think it's because it's pretty much the only word I know how to spell.

We all spent AT LEAST 13 effing years in school LEARNING HOW TO SPELL. Not one year went by where spelling was not taught. Unless you have a valid reason ie. learning disability, there is noooo excuse!

I've always found myself annoyed by American spelling.
It's not nite it's night. The same goes for lite and light.
Spelling like that makes me want to get a gun and start shooting.
Either speak the King's English or go learn French.
