death to hunters

people who hunt really fucking piss me off. i understand if people have to hunt to survive, ie) catch food for them selves. but trophy hunters, etc, realy piss me off. i was flipping through the channels yesterday and i saw these hick mother fuckers all dressed up in camo, hunting deer with a bow n arrow. normally i change the channel because i hate to see animals being killed, but i watched this time. these guys were acting like they were in vietnam all sneaking around like soldiers, using some mating call whistle to bring the deer out in the open. then when a nice big deer walks out, they shoot it with an arrow, but ofcourse they get it right in the stomach, so it doesnt kill it, the deer ran off with the arrow in it, and they found it a while away after it had fallen over. these guys were acting like they just defeated bin laden, high fiving and parading around like they are the big king shit. some one might want to remind them that the deer didn't know it was playing.

i would like to sit up in a tree and hunt these hunters. i will use a bow n arrow to, and shoot at these hick assholes. it seriously disgusts me, how some one can think killing some poor innocent animal is a sport. grrrrrrrrrrrr. it should be illegal.

IT SHOULD BE ILLEGAL!!..people who hunt animals for fun should be hunted for fun themselves...let them see how it feels...it makes me so angry..like mentioned already..if it's for bare necessities..it's understandable..but just for the heck of killing sumthing..no..that's just kinda sick..

same with people who hunt animals because those animals have somethign of value...ivory..fur coats...if someone skinned a human and made their skin into a nice jacket would people think it was sick..or would they wear it..?..

*UGH*

Hunting is a curse. Only do it if you're starving and there's nothing else to eat. Otherwise it's just bad karma.

Maybe people who do pointless hunting should be eaten. I'll be back in Florida soon. I'm going to get an alligator.

i do not see a problem w/ people that hunt for sport and use the animal as food as long as the follow the hunting rules.

a licene must be obtained by a person wishing to hunt and they must sign an agreement which states that they will not kill certian game and more game then permissible.

hunting season also starts after babies have grown up enough and do not rely on thier mothers.

hunting is cruel but so are meat processing plants.

ps, sebcoe how did you have your steak last night?

Yep it's pretty rough. I'll agree with you there Seb. I don't know what pleasure you can get by killing something on their own turf. I smile when I hear stories of deer ramming antlers through the legs, arms and chests of wanna-be hunters.

/me thinks back to that show where they showed a deer attacking that guy with his hooves. That was payback for all the deer deaths. Scientists should genetically engineer deer's to be as fast as cheetahs, have super charged hearing and the mentality of a pissed off grisly bear. Then it would be fair.

personally i like the trophies that a hunter takes from their prey...as long as the death is quick (don't want the meat to get all tense right?).

Kids at desks are much easier targets than deer. :041:

This is a photo taken from a family photo album. It shows Andrew Golden, 8 yo, some 3 years before he he went on a shooting rampage with a schoolmate, killing 4 students and 1 teacher and leaving 10 others wounded in Westside Middle School.
Browsing the Internet, it's easy to find pics like these: children beeing educated on their rights to bear arms. But I guess this is OK, since they are not brought up by fanatic Muslims like that baby's parents.
The fact is that Palestinian terrorists, stupid and misguided as they are, at least have a cause; they don't kill their schoolmates and teachers out of boredom, fascination with violence or God knows what.
Maybe you (and us) should worry a lot about this too.

"At the time, the boy's grandfather thought he could shed light on things. Doug Golden began talking to the press about Drew -- the boy who had just carried his surname and his carbine into an ignominious place in Arkansas history.
The family photo album was opened, and a nation was aghast: Toddler Drew in full grin, circa 1990, dressed in camouflage and hugging what appeared to be a firearm. Clean-cut Drew, circa 1992, in a two-handed firing position, aiming what appeared to be a pistol. Young Drew, dressed in cowboy garb, holding what appeared to be a shotgun that was almost as long as he was tall."

I agree with hating on hunters... but unfortunately it's essential. In Alberta a few years ago there were too many deer/elk because fewer people had been hunting. It became a disaster because there weren't enough predators to balance the increased numbers. Thus ending in an environment that couldn't support them, and many starving to death, diseases ran rampant, etc. And while having some deer in your backyard's cute... a pack of wolves is not, so any increases in predators is met with human resistance. All in all a disaster. I remember Fish and Wildlife pleading for people to hunt. I'm not sure what's happened since, but that's why licenses are issued and hunting will never be illegal.

As for Bow hunting, I really have much less of a problem with it than using a rifle. You need alot of skill to hunt with a bow because of its limits, and the chances of a successful kill are quite low. There's a very good chance the hunted will escape, and the hunter pissed.

Hunting is cruel and inhumane, sure. Giving guns to wee ones is stupid, yes.

Now, maybe I'm going to have to take a different look at all of this.

As a long time vegetarian (no meat in 10+ years, including no seafood, absolutely NOTHING of that sort..) I find that the slaughterhouse practices of most mass producers of meat to be pretty damn cruel and inhumane as well (unless we're talking free range/organic/kosher goodies for the omnivores) . People who are willing to go and hunt their own meat deserve a bit more of my respect than people who support people who do pretty awful things to animals for mass production to sell in places like the supermarket. Just to set it straight before people jump all over me, I wouldn't judge someone for their choice of eating meat, as I would hope someone wouldn't judge me for my choice not to. I just happen to think that going out and doing the slaughter yourself seems a bit more ethical than buying hamburger meat at Safeway.

Also, lots of cultures who have depended heavily on hunting [aboriginals of north america, to cite an example] hunted [and some still do, note i said SOME] these animals for EVERYTHING- meat, fur, bones, etc. to survive. I think that shooting an animal for just their fur is a pretty big waste.

just some thoughts anyways

M

I totally agree with you. I too, have been a vegetarian for about.... 6 years? personally, I don't see that big of a difference between people in our society who buy meat that were killed in slaughterhouses and those who go deer hunting as a sport. I mean... both aren't really absolutely essential to ensure our survival (if you wanna have a debate with me on this issue, PM me). more something people would do for their own personal pleasure, despite the fact that they can both be inhumane. big difference is, people who eat meat that's been killed in slaughterhouses aren't there to actually witness the inhumane slaughtering.

but of course.. that's just MY humble opinion :P
