Beware of IE 6.0

Now that i've upgraded to Internet Explorer 6.0 i can't make use of 3/4 of the features on this board. No karma giving, no instant chat and no additional smilies. DO NOT install 6.0 as it only brings a world of headaches to websites with java applets.

Weakness at it's finest...

up yours Micro$oft :finger:

^ so true, so true

I reinstalled the old version and no dice. I'm beat. Now the only way i can deal with it by doing a fresh install. The thing is...i just did one.

I guess netscape is looking better and better each day

I stopped using IE long ago because something on my computer broke.
I use mozilla now, which a lot of people dislike, but it hasn't given me too many problems, luckily.

control panel> add remove programs> highlite internet explorer 6.0

you should then have an option ro revert to a previous version

i don't know if you have tried this, but its worth a shot

ive been using ie6 for 1 year+ with no problems. i do agree that if you break something it's incredibly difficult to fix.

i like ie for its computer browser integration (press windowskey+e+type in url = browser window! fast!), but for most of my serious surfing i use mozilla. netscape browsers a little too wonky for me still, and i like mouse-gesture browsing.

oh just be warned...

netscape and ie NEVER get along.

we had this problem alllllll the time. my mom only really used to netscape (and she liked her email in that) and my dad hated it and used ie. they kept having soooooo many problems. not good.

it's fine if you take out ie totally, and just use netscape, but without service pack 1 you can't do that.

i actually, don't even think you can do that WITH service pack 1. my dad tried to remove msn messenger (like you should be able o) but then it went and removed msn, outlook, ie and like EVERYTHING. so not good.

i don't like xp too much. i just think it's pretty. :P hehe but i have to use it.
