That new Brazilian restaurant on Alberni

It's new concept Brazilian restaurant (where the old Keg on Alberni used to be) that got some pretty good reviews, but when I ate there late night the food SUCKED!

Meat tasted like shit! It was dry and overspiced, chicken was too salty, Lamb was undercooked and the service... well there was no service.

They must be making a killing as they charge you $23 for all you can eat and after the first two bites you lose your appetite.

It's sad when the best part of dinner was the Tim Horton's doughnut I ate afterwards to get rid of the taste in my mouth.

I give this place a 6.

That means 6 weeks before is closes.

Really? We're heading there in a bit for lunch. Maybe it's cuz you went so late in the night for dinner :047: I heard the food is quite good there. I guess we'll see, eh?

It's called "SAMBA" by the way

We got there at 7pm for dinner and that will be the last time I'll eat there.

I tried meat off of all the skewers and NONE of them tasted any good.

The 5 of us should have went for Pho instead.

i went there for lunch just after it opened and i found it really, really good.

I'm not sure I'd want to eat there because I think the concept of all you can eat meat is just...WRONG.
I'll probably try it out sometime soon, though.

if you want to go to a good spanish place to eat go to santa teresita it on kingsway near the bc tel building give it a try

As for Samba....
it was a bit of a let down waiting all day to eat on Friday and going there only to find out it's closed right after lunch in order to prepare for the dinner menu. I'm giving it one more chance to be open so I can review the place fairly. The menu looks good, the place looks clean and the lunch special seems reasonable ($14 all u can eat).

if you go try a churasco its a white bun (home made )with mayo
avacado with salt a tomatoe letuce and a thin steak for four 25
its so good give it a try some time
