This really does suck when select people/groups do this. Try and look at it in a different way:

- who cares what these people think. You and your "real" friends know what is true and not... those that choose to spread lies are obviously not your friend.

- don't loose faith in the entire human race! Not all of us are like this. When people are being loosers and spreading rumours, make sure to surround yourself with your real friends. If they are real friends, they will stand up for you and shut this lame, immature rumour mill down.

lovekat. this has happened to me before, and god did it ever piss me off. It was by some one who was my former good friend too, and the lie she spread temporarily fucked up a friendship between me and another friend of mine. I was pissed off by the way I found out about it and because the lie was SO far from the truth.

I just stopped associating with that bitch (oops, i meant that) and that made all the difference. i think that people make up shit about you when they somehow feel threatened by you, or else want to gain the respect of some one by confiding in you with an "interesting fact" about some one...

grrr.. at least you know the truth, and that's all that matters.
