Sick old men on chat rooms

Ok so i'm listening to the Beat 9.45 (the morning show with Kid Carson) and they are on a teen chat room saying they are 14. The old man (35) has given them his number and they are going to call him and see what he does. Hes already said a bunch of sick shit to them on the chat. Tune in if you want to see what happens.

So sad for little kids that don't know better. Really scary in my mind.:o

Nothing will happen to the guy. The beat 94.5 doesn't have the authority to do stuff like this, like "To catch a predator"...

The most that will happen is that the police will question the guy, and most likely seize his computer to search for child porn.

However, they should give the number to a group of fathers, and let them give this guy some street justice :)

The age of consent is really muddy.
Basically, the age of consent is 14 if you are consenting to sexual acts with someone 18 years or younger. The age of consent to sexual acts with someone older than 18 years of age is 16.

Honestly, it wasn't the greatest start to the day, but good on 'em for doing it. Really, these creeps get away with this kind of thing ALL the time as they proved this morning, and if they are opening peoples eyes to it then I give them props. A lot of parents really have NO CLUE the kind of things their kids do online, hopefully 'experiments' like this will make them realize they need to be more aware.

"To catch a predator" has been doing this forever

94.5 just wanted to fight the good fight i think... that stuff doesn't really have a place on radio.. if they were doing it out of the goodness of their hearts, they could just do it off-air and forward the information to the police

I'd heard of it, but never seen it myself.
They did it live on the air to raise awareness. Anything that raises awareness about keeping kids safe and locking these disgusting bastards up is a positive. I don't care what medium they use.

Considering what their demographic is, this hardly seems like appropriate content for that station.

Kid Carson and Nira Aurora hardly strike me as hard hitting journalists tackling the big issues.

They should probably stick to talking about how much they drink on the weekends.
