Shitty bands at the end of late night shows. (Conan/Jay leno)

Do people actually listen to this shit?
I can honestly say that I haven't heard a single band at the end of one of these shows that I even remotely liked.

Do you change the channel when they come on, or do you just sit through it hoping it will get better?

I usually listen, having faith that they actually listened to the demo before letting these people on the show, but I'm still disappointed every time. They are just really weird sometimes. The people tonight weren't even singing most of the time, and when they were they weren't in tune. :(

I have to disagree with you... quite often the bands they have on are either well known or up and coming. I mean that's not to say that there aren't ever stinkers but just because you don't like them doesn't mean they're bad right?

Jimmy Kimmel has pretty decent artists too from what I've seen.

Eh... frankly I'm usually watching The Daily Show at the time Leno features his guest bands.

As for Conan's guest bands, dude once had Neil Young on for a solid week! How is that shitty???

Well I can't say I've watched either show religiously, so perhaps I have missed some of the better acts.
And I don't think I've ever watched Jimmy Kimmel before so there may be some exceptions. But a lot of shows I have caught the bands have been pretty strange, and for the most part unenjoyable. I guess it's not fair to say all the bands brought on the show are shit all the time. But a majority of the time I find I'm tempted to reach for the remote when they come on. Perhaps a lot has to do with the sound, because a lot of the time it seems off.

I just want to note, I have no issues with most of the bands on SNL.

I know they're not a talk show, but they fall under late night programing.

ya jay lenos guests are usually mainstream pop and country... pretty lame.

but as far as I've seen conan o brien gets really great music guests for the most part.
