I've already watched enough of these videos I don't need to watch this one. I try not to eat meat, but all of these videos make me consider changing my ways completely. It doesn't matter that they were born for food - there's a moral and an immoral way to do things.

The worst one I ever watched was an asian video where they were transporting dogs to make into.. food? fir things? i can't remember.. but you know there's those things that permanently get seared into your brain that you never, ever forget? this video was one of those.. I fully support the spca and am a regular volunteer and donator.. but I wish I could do more..

It's digusting and these people obviously have no morals, or, doing the same job every day has erased their morals.. if I could get my hands on just one of them, i swear, i'd be sitting in a jail cell right now.

really, branding and castration is not a part of the slaughter process.
i didn't watch the video but i really don't care to.
i'm already a non meat eater.
imo branding and castration is not cruel.
there are humane ways that it can be done.
and cows with no tail and ears is because they froze off.
i really see no reason for us to go around chopping ears off, it makes no sense.

I had a prof in university who doesn't eat any meat because she believes that the way they are killed results in really bad energy/vibrations, and when we eat anything that's been killed in a horrible manner we absorb part of those negative vibrations.

i have a dog and after owning one, i hate seeing hurting of animals, esp dogs, but what should i do? i love eating meat, esp beef,steak(cows). guys gotta eat. i just hate seeing animals in pain, kill them fast and painless.

^You're right... aside from the fact that we actually have the means to do it humanely and the conscience to go with it.

Don't get me wrong... I enjoy being close to the top of the food chain and all but there are better methods to be used in raising/slaughtering our food.

I guess the question here is... what is a "humanely" way of slaughtering an animal. My dad used to work in a slaughter house about the time when i was born, he worked for Maple Leaf Meats. They used to use gas chambers to kill the animals. However upon years of research and scientific facts. They found that the chemical's that was in the gases of course got into the meat which ultimately then got distributed into the food chain. Now you can only imagine of the potential harzards to humans that it could of caused... Same thing go's for any type of tranquilizer (spell check?) or anything else that they may have used... Thats why now days animals get there throat slashed because its the main artery and at the same time blood fills up its lungs so essentially it drowns by its own blood since the lung ends up collapsing..

Essentially its the same concept a hunter would use they would shoot an animal where the lung would be located because death would occur quickly. You'd never want to shoot one in the head or the face as it still has a greater chance on being alive yet it would die slowly. It would literally bleed to death... But again slaughter houses are not going to use a fire arm and shoot each animal in the lung because bullets contain led and again you wouldn't want led in the the food chain.

The fact of the matter is that if it weren't for media and all nobody would of really cared because it's been happening since the beginning of time really...
