Guh. So I filled in for someones shift tonight because I am to nice, despite the fact that I got now sleep last night cuz I worked close and then open (so yes, I worked 16 hours today). Anyyyyways, my work closes at 3am and for anyone who doesn't know i work at the pita pit. It was a pretty slow day, and because I have to work again tomorrow morning I spent the entire time prepping, and by 5 minutes to three was all cleaned, mopped and ready to go, all I had to do is cash out.... but then this huge group of ppl come in, and technically it isn't 3 yet, so I can't just send them away, and some of them are kind of regulars (well they know the owners, so they think they own the place.. but thats another story) I didn't mind serving them, but all of their friends kept coming in and getting pitas, and their friends are calling other friends to come to the pita pit, but they wouldn't order them right away. I'd think I had everyone done, and then they would stroll over to the till. I even asked one of them to turn of the open sign for me, and they didn't clue in that I was closed, and doing a favor by making them pitas. I had completely cleaned the front and put all the stools and chairs up, and without asking they take down all the stools and settle in. They made the hugest mess, and threw shit all over the floor. If they had asked to take the stools done and sit, I would have let them, its just they assumed that it was ok, and it wasn't like they were there for 5 minutes, nooooo. It was like 45 minutes. My boss comes in and takes in the sign from out from and has to squeeze by all of them, and still no one clues in that we are CLOSED. We count the cash, and they still don't clue in, so finally I take a broom and just start sweeping (for the second time) over their feet. They finally clue in to leave, but not one is like, oh, your closing? Sorry, i'll just be a minute or anything AAAAAARRRG!!! I hope I get paid for the extra hour I was there. And you think that regulars would know the hours. And on top of that they were so loud...

Anyways, I'm tired and irratated.. and this is long, oh well. I'm going to bed.

do you work with your boss?

when i worked at subway, i would always let them know that i was closing, and before i made their food, i would turn off the open sign and lock the door, then wehn i was done making their sub, i would unlock the door and let them out, it was the ONLY way to get out of there without more and more people coming in.

i hate fast food.

But... did you JUST figure out that 1/2 of the population is disrespectful? Bite your bottom lip, smile, and if not, go rampage and throw food at them til they get out. :hehe:

Tell them to leave! That's what I do if I have any customers left in the store, ugh I hate when people come in right at the last minute and mess up everything that u've just cleaned. :soak:
