I can be guilty of this sometimes..your office id is generally something that you wear often enough that you don't even notice you're still rocking it when you leave work or go for lunch, it's probably usually an honest mistake.

chances are, if i leave my id off to go for lunch, i am going to get locked out of my building as it is high security.

it is essentially part of my corporate uniform. the president of the company wears his, i am required to wear mine.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to jump on the "WHO CARES" bandwagon.

At my job I'm required to have my tag visible and on my person at all times. If I take it off to leave campus for lunch or whatever, I'm going to either leave it at work or forget to put it back on. It's not that it's intentional, it just happens. Why this would piss anybody off is beyond me.
