make sure you reformat it with format c: /u or /u c: i dont rememebr which

and if its actually crashing or rebooting itself randomly
check to see if the problem isn't heat related...cpu's get wonky when they get too hot

best trick I ever learned?
if ya got windows 2000 or higher on cd, and ya wanna reformat and clean install..

reboot, get into bios, set the boot sequence to CDROM, C, A then save, and put the cd in.. when ur comp reboots it skipps any boot disk shit, and will load from CD

pretty handy! TRUUUST me ;)

That's what virus scanners are for. so shit like that doesn't happen. or at least, it's a lot less likely to happen.
