thats nothing.. my friend lost his ID and couldn't buy alcohol and hes around the same ages as you..

he had to ask me and my bf at the time to get him a boot.. it was funneh..

but it will pay off when hes like 50.. cause then he'll look his actualy age.. damn bastard!

i used to work in a small restaurant downtown in the waterfront area. a lot of our customers were seniors and i always got a kick out of asking to see their id. most of the old farts would roffle ma loffle and leave me a generous tip, but some got all pissy and made rude comments =)

ps, i have not been id'ed for the longest time and that makes me a sad lady =(

i used to buy smokes almost everyday from the same place (london drugs), and i got ID'd almost every time... and the chick there told me that they HAVE to id anyone "who looks under 40" like the sticker on the cash register says...

usually if there's a manager present, the employees will ask EVERYONE, just so they don't put their job in jeopardy. you can't blame them, they're just doing their job.

i don't see what the big deal about getting ID'd is... no matter how old you are... old people who think they're so much better than everyone else just because they've been around longer, are not cool.

I don't think I'm better than other people...well, not cuz I'm older /j/k...and lord knows I'm the first to admit I look younger than my age...but some things just feel silly after a while. Plus this wasn't a big store where someone has there boss watching over their shoulder, it was a small owner-operator store where the guy just looked at me and said "You sure you're old enuf to smoke?"...hmmm...I'm old enuf to vote, drink, buy a gun (never done that one tho), rent porno, fly without adult accompanyment, and lots of other stuff.

I mean c'mon...I've been getting carded for nearly 14 years since being legal to buy smokes...

Heh...A few months after I turned 19, my best friend sent me to get her smokes(she was too drunk to drive, and I was DD). I went into the corner store, and the woman behind the counter scrutinized, and I mean SCRUTINIZED my ID...On my licence, my hair is down, and I don't have my glasses on, but at the store, my hair was right up in a ponytail and I had my specs on...She almost didn't sell me the smokes...I had to take my glasses off before she would, and even at that, she looked at me funny...:hehe:

I hate this ask for ID thing. Tonight some dumb lady didn't wanna accept my out of state ID so I went to another store to get beer. And goddamnit 21 is way to old of an age to have to be to but it. Probably the oldest age in the world.
