Party ticket scammers!
Damn all those ppl!!
I hate when there is an upcomming party and ppl just want to sell tickets to get in. Like that is pathetic!! Seriously!! Yea u may be outta cash and all but still... selling tickets just to get in... thats just wrong... am I the only one that thinks this?? Me, myself, personally ... I sell tix cuz I want to help the person (eg. AGRO Dave) I sell tix for him to support him and to support him throwing his party. I dont expect anything in return but he's a nice person and gets me in. I dont ask for it. I do understand that at times production companies ask for help.. and they get some great ppl to help them, but when I know the ppl that are helping and I know that their just doing it to get in.. PISSES ME OFF!!!! :finger:

Why is it pathetic? Really, whats wrong with it?
If someone has the money to buy a ticket, helps out, and therefore gets in for free is that bad? What about if the person doesn't have a lot of cash to spend and gets in? I've been in situations where I've helped out and got in for free and I didn't necessarily expect to get in for free but in the same breath I would most likely be minorly upset if some form of 'thank you' wasn't at least offered. If someone offers to help sell tickets in return for getting into the party that really is a small sacrifice for the promoter if that person manages to sell a decent number of tickets. Bottom line is I can't really say that I agree with you but everyone is entitled to their own opinion I suppose.

whats with all these ticket sellers who think by pushing tickets onto their friends that there somehow saving the "scene" haha get over yourself kiddies you're just getting jacked by greedy promoters.
or just scene whores in general, stupid kiddies raves are for fun not for life, or social climbing. tina i ain't talkin bout you...word im all about helpin out friends. hell id sell tickets for agro dave too if i had the time, just outta respect and the fact that he knows how to throw a good party

K, really ppl can do what ever they want to get into a party, I started off partyin, paying for me n my friends, but im not as baller as some, sellin tix to get in is one way of doin it, whether the person does it for personaly gain(free entrance) or for jsut beeing a pal. i could care less, I think this cuz i have been there and done both. for years i sold tix jsut for kicks, beeing friends with dj, helpin a smaller production company out, i never expected any "rewards" nor did i ask for any. I figure its karma that gotten me into plenty off parties, her if i can help some one, and please the masses y not. Tina i dun wanna rag on ya, i love dave just as much as u do, now i just wondering where u got off on say that : " hate when there is an upcomming party and ppl just want to sell tickets to get in. Like that is pathetic!! Seriously!! " . im hurt*tear*

^^^werd. i treat it as an oppurtunity..especially when its somewhat related to what i want to do in the future. (event managment, organization, promoting, communications and pr related) i enjoy helping out..and i only help if i have time and "gung ho" about the party.
for those who sell tickets to help out a party..i think its a fair trade for a free ticket. does take effort to sell tickets and lots of time. think about it.. the production sends someone out to get rid of 50 tickets.. and one ticket gets given away for free. 1:50...i think thats a good ratio. the seller would know if he/she has contributed.. personally if i strictly sold tickets and only sold 10 tickets and thats all i did..i wouldn't want a free ticket. in the past ive bought a ticket from myself for myself and ignored my "glist or free ticket".. its off my concience... i know when ive actually contributed. scamming's badbadbad.

Yea you sell tickets, but when there are ppl out there just selling tix cuz they want to get it.. I dunno for me I think its wrong. Thats just my opinion. I dun mind if u guys disagree....

HELLO, selling tickets is called VOLUNTEERING, you are not forced to do it. I have never heard of being rewarded for volunteering other then feeling good about your self for helping out. selling tix is something u do to help out, and is not something u should do to become 'known' or 'popular' Its VOLUNTEERING, c'mon ppl get it through ur head, u should not be rewarded for DONATING your own time. DONATING .. meaning to give for free. I dont know if this makes n e sence... my mind is a maze right now.

why should you be denied of having a good time at a party because you cant afford it? would it be better to sell tickets to a party and support the production company, or sell rock at central?

I'm not saying its bad for producers to let ppl in for free who help out. I just think its kinda sad when u hear a production company ask for help promoting and instantly expect something in return. I find it quite selfish to offer ur help and think u should get something back for it. Do it cause u care and not because u cant support ur own rave/drug habbit

You realize that production companies make money off parties, right? not alot, but they do. You're basically giving the producer money for free. You're essentially paying the producer to work for them. And then on top of all the money you made them, you want to pay even MORE to get into that event??

why would a promoter pay a kid to sell tickets..when they know theres tons of kids around the scene that will do the same job and maybe even more for free/a free ticket.

exactly. Free entry to the party costs the producer NOTHING extra,since they're already paying a fixed amount for venue and dj's and shit.
Its not like oh damn i cant give them free access because tiesto will charge me an extra $5 to play for each person after 1500!!
