If you don't appreciate it, then don't, nobody is forcing you to give them the time of day. We live in a world that is really polarized as far as religious thought goes and it's causing too many wars, so why not put a cap on your ignorance.

The first Jehova's Witnesses to ever come to our door at my current house, were caucasian. When they found out we were japanese, they came back and sent JAPANESE people to our door. And for the past few years japanese Jehova Witnesses have come to our door, and the thing about that is I CANNOT refuse them. My dad's clients often come to the door, and if it happens to be my dad's clients then I can't just mouth 'em off or burn the Book of mormon (oops wrong religion, it's all the same to me) in their face, it might make my dad look bad. The japanese community is small, and every one is related to every one in one way or another. I *HAVE* to answer the door if there is a well-dressed japanese middle aged woman standing outside my door.
Today there was a purple parked car waiitng outside of my house. The lady came out of her car, started speaking japanese to me and followed me all the way up the hill. Asked me if I was "Ms IMAI" (japanese name) which I obviously am NOT. She aked me who lived in the house with the motorhome parked upfront (OUR HOUSE) and I was like" there's no IMAI-san there".. and then she tried to get me to read something, but I told her that I couldn't read japanese, and then she left me alone.
So now she knows my name because I was like "uhh there's no Imai Family living there, but we are the takeuchi's".... I feel like I totally got scammed. Later on I called my dad and he told me that that lady was a Jehova's Witness. Well now she knows our family name, and i wouldn't be surprised if they started writing us letters.
it's easy to say "IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT THEN IGNORE IT" but what the hell do you do when they come after you!? This lady literally followed me up the hill. From my experience I've found that they really have no respect for people's personal space or privacy. They're just as annoying as the lady at the blood donor clinic that calls me every month to "remind me" that I owe them blood.
