In terms of what you said, while its true that a lot of the jobs available for people just getting their first job are sh*t and yyou'll tire easily from it, you can still try and find something in a field you are interested in. Love music? Job @ A&B, Virgin, Tom Lee Music, etc. Love movies? Theatre job. Most areas of interest have some form of shit job you can try to get to learn more about it.
On the $$$ side, yeah, it is easy to find yourself spending to meet your newfound income level, but that's all a matter of disciplin and self-control, really.
