i really dont like small parties any more

im sick of it now i dont think i will be particapaiting in any more small parties cause i swear every time i do i get more and more agro and i dont like that i help out with setting up when all i want to do is go home sleep & shower but no cause i am a nice friend i stay and help but instead of a thanks for helpin i get bitched at oh whoop dee freaking doo i got into a party for free that just got busted up and i get left with no ride any where with some freak out sketch ball im sorry but because of that one party i only think im going to massives before i ruin the party scene for good thx for reading i really had to let that out!!!!!

Why would you go to a party without having a ride arranged?
One thing that should be obvious is that when you go to a small, underground party, there is a chance it will be broken up early. Plan for that, make sure you have a way home.

What I get from your post is that you didn't get praise that you thought you deserved, perhaps because the promoters were dealing with the fact that their party was getting broken up. Well if "small parties" and "helping out" makes you agro why do you go and do it in the first place?

I help set up and work at parties on the weekends because I love doing it... makes me feel productive and I like supporting my friends and helping them out when I can.

So you didn't get praised for helping... hate to shatter your lil bubble here kid but the vast majority of the time promoters have a fuck of a lot more on their mind than "praising" some lil girl who put up a piece of scaff or picked up some garbage. There's A LOT you're in control of (especially if it's underground/illegal) when you throw an event and niceities are forgotten a lot of the time as a result of stress and responsibilities.

If you got left without a ride that's your own fault. You're old enough now (I should hope) to take responsibilities for your own actions and to find out how to get to and from places. Before I go on any gig I make sure I have a ride back or I take the last bus or I have cash for a cab. Don't expect the promoter to cover your ass (they're more likely than not too concerned about a fine or what's going on with the equipment after the party gets busted).

You wanna go to massives and say screw the underground scene that's fine by me! But just take note of this lil incident for future reference and plan your night out a lil bit better before hand.

Beki, I'm sorry if Brodie and I couldn't find a moment to give you huge props. You knew the deal for getting a free ticket was to give a hand, cause we just can't be throwing tickets around like it's Christmas. The worst part of it all is that you didn't even help out, you sat on the couch and whined, and you were more of a bother because I had to constantly be on your ass to ask for a bit of help. I don't know if you noticed, but we were running around pulling the hair out of our heads during the party, dealing with all the important things that come along with throwing a party.
It sucks that you only volunteer to help simply to get a free ticket, and not to actually help us throw a wicked party and support. Especially seeing as how tickets were no more than 15$. It seems to me like you might belong at these massives, because you're not in this game to support, you're in it for yourself. Next time you really want to be fully appreciated and noticed at these events, YOU can throw a party, a Beki party, and then maybe things'll go your way.
Until then, I'll remember this next time you happen to pop into the picture the day before the party 'willing' to volunteer, because we now know what your intentions are. Thanks for the support friend.

^^ VERY well said. I think my favroit word u used was volunteer and if i'm not mistaken, i do believe the definition of volunteer is:
TO WORK WITHOUT PAY.

BEKI- to be honest i never once saw u do n e thing but complain. Even in the morning for clean up, u and mike sat there and did fuck all and i had to WAKE YOU UP so we could leave.

Getting a thank you is kinda like leaving a tip in a resturant...... If the service was good u leave a nice tip to show ur thanks. If the service was bad, u leave little or no tip, showing ur disapointment.


Now, about the crack head guy in the morning. I was ready to fucking run away, but u and mike kept talking to him, and he got us totally lost. Then he asked where we were going when we got a cab and u guys gave him my fucking address. LIKE WTF. Thank god he wasnt going to the same part of town as us. Then as soon as we get into the cab, i freak out and start crying cause i couldnt believe how STUPIED the 2 of u were, and u try to justify it by telling me that the dude was on mushrooms, like it was suppose to make it better. NO ... i dont think so.

SO lets see here.....

- u didnt get n e sleep the day b4 because of ur OWN CHOICE

- u volunteered to help and did NOTHING, by ur OWN CHOICE

So, by judging smaller parties by this one so called "bad" experance (i call it stupidity) is in my honest opinion RETARDED.

Maybe u should look at things a different way and remember that u have th power to make things happen. Sitting on ur ass and doing nothing wont get u what u want, Dont complain becuase of what someone DIDNT DO, look at what that person DID do. Look at the positive side of things, they might be hard to see, but they are there.
