Owing money after doing my taxes

Since it is due tomorrow I thought I should get my taxes done.

I'm too cheap to go buy a tax program, so with a pencil, pen and calculator I go tackle the obscure tax forms.

So even after applying a nice, fat RRSP decuction I still owe $250.

Fucking unreal.

Time to move to Calgary and live there.

I owe even more than that...I mean, I know its one of the side-effects of making a little more coin than I did in my younger years, but still, there's so much that's taken off already I kinda feel like I'm gettin' f*cked up the @ss all year long and then, on April 30th, I get the added bonus treat of the gov't's big fat c*ck rammed down my throat, just for that 'lil bit of extra pleasure...

My mom did my taxes for me, pen and paper as well, and she came up with over $700 that I owed!!!!!! OMG!

But then she double checked, and I actually only owe $150.

I would have owed $5300 but that's what the RRSP deduction took care of for me.

Scenario: Take money out of the bank to put into an RRSP (putting the same money back into the same bank) so I don't have to pay (take money out of the bank) since I owe loads. :284:

Anyways... I thought having the money in my bank in an RRSP opposed to freely giving it away to the taxman was a good thing.

yeah last year i paid $3500.

this year i didn't max out my rrsps, thats why i paid so much more.

its very possible. even easy.

my dad paid $45 000 this year in taxes. i can't wait till i have to pay that type of sum.

It doesn't take much to owe $6500 in taxes if they don't deduct off your paycheque.

If they do then you have to make for than $45,000. A lot more.
