ive missed TONS of school recently and im behind in pretty much all my classes..stayin at lunch breaks to write tests..after school to do quizes..its gettin outta hand. im missing school tomorrow again......damn colleges and they're portfolio dropoff/pickups/interviews are all during school times. grrrrrz.

Don't do it! I didn't take math 12 in high school, as I thought I wouldn't need it. Now that I've switched career paths it turns out I will need it and its been 3 years since I've been in a math class and I'm fucked!

bebu quit smoking crack, you don't need to take math 12..i didn't and i didn't take it in university either, quit listening to your teachers at school their dumbasses who don't know what they're talking about, which is why they teach highschool kids...besides don't you want to go to art school? you can take wank off courses and get into art school. taking math 12 can only fuck you over if you're weak at it, because itll drop your average and you might not get into a post secondary institution as a result..

what did you study in university, sean? if you're going to go into any social science like psychology or anthropology then you are going to have to do a course in statistics. if you're want to do anything commerce-related, you'll need even more math.. if some traditional science is your thing then obviously math is required.

math 12 is pretty important. not having a math back ground really does limit your choices.... so unless you're absolutely positive you want to do a general arts degree and end up making close to minimum wage for at least some time after you graduate, then take the math

hold up.. ok what about older returning students... math has changed soo much in last couple of years, like the content has gotten harder... so if these older returning students apply to secondary schools are they not gonna get in cause they dont have math twelve?
your highschool transcript only follows you so far....

and sean you dont just take wank off courses for art school, they do look at your transcripts... i just had my interview for cap... and they asked me about my courtse choices... like the ones beside my art courses and they reflect on not only your grades to see you studious\non studious manner, but also to see that hey you have some smarts up there... people dont credit art students.. shit im gonna be in school for at least 8 years before ill be happy and can get the job i want... isnt that as much as a doctor?

ill stop smoking crack if you stop giving me crack! i got like 83% in math11 last year and i thought i had the capability to do math 12... guessed wrong. im still toughin it out..see how it goes. and yes i do want to go to art school, but im taking enough courses as a backup for university/other post secondary education. cuz art school is surprisingly hard to get into as well. well end of june i have a math12, geography12, history12 and eng 12 provincials.. thank god im kinda all raved out. need to lock myself down and study up. i haven't studied all year i think i really should start.

if you don't have math 12, and it's a requirement, they will make you take it.. even if you're an older student.
my mom is planning to go to school more, but do so she has to take math 12.. i'll be taking it with her by correspondance in the summer! haha (i'm redoing math 12)


bev, you can do math. trust me. if i can pass that class, you can. be happy you're not in my school doing math. each unit is one week long (with exception of trig, which is two) so you barely have any time to really learn things. it's hard. but you've come this far in math, just keep it up (as long as you're not failing). at least, that's what i would do =)

man theres a big difference between statistics and real math...im just delaying the inevitable because i know ill have to take some more math courses when i go for my mba

regardless of the difference, you're still going to need math 12 to do statistics.

up until this september, data analysis for psych at sfu now requires a passing grade in math 12. honestly, I consider finishing math 12 one of the best decisions I've ever made! :)

my councillers told me i didn't need to take math 12, so i didn't...now i have to take that, plus chem and physics
