they locked me in the cemetary
i was there last evening to visit my beloved and went before dusk. I drove in past security, I nodded hello to security
I proceeeded to go have a beer or two or three with a gal pal who came with me - I had two smokes when I realized it had gotten dark and no one had come around to check the perimeter of the cemetary for lock-up. I joked with her that they'd forgotten us coming in and locked allt he gates well turns out they had - Now it wouldn't be a big deal to hop the fence, but I had my car with me and I'm not a talented stunt driver. We wandered around looking for a number for security or a person and there was nothing. I knocked on the doors of the mosoleum, the office - the creamatorium - nothing there were signs for three different security companies, we called 411 and talked to them all - no one had the keys to the gate (if we'd been stuck in the washroom they could have freed us) They didn't know what to do - I didn't know what to do Finally after 4 hours I decided to take drastic action since it appeared no one was coming to help - I along with another couple stuck in the cematary drove over a bush to escape (no one's grave was harmed or driven over) it was a patch of garden and bush - I scraped the side of my car against the cement barrier and removed my sideview mirror and some of my door panelling. I am so frazzled this morning at work - I;m an emotional ball of stress. Being locked in a cemetary is no good - It was the eight year anniversary of the passing of my soul mate - he would have found my predicament hilarious - so i am sure he's having a giggle wherever he is today my stomach feels uneasy and I feel awful about having to drive over the bush and maybe in retrospect I should've waited longer or left the car \ I don't know I can't believe no one knew how to get us out Jingles Last edited by Jingles; May 13, 03 at 10:34 AM. |

wow..thats quite the story and might I say worded very well.
Is the cemetary going to pay for the damage for your car since they forgot to come get you out? Have they apologized? What a situation... and one more thing....what were you doing drinking beeer in a cemetary? |

Maryah... You have the craziest adventures!
I believe your soul mate may have had something to do with it as I do believe in these things. When my father passed away during one part of the ceremony I had to old 3 lit incense sticks from our home to the cemetary. I accidentally touched the to the roof of his Lincoln with them and made 3 nice small burn marks. :( At the cemetrary I had to insert these 3 incense sticks into the ground. I leaned over too far to adjust something and ended up burning the skin on my knee on the 3 incense sticks, but when I looked closely the fabric of my pants was completely intact. Dad got me one last time that day. |

it's their fault that you were in there and had to get out. and the fact that the THREE security companies had no idea what to do doesn't help their case. seriously, you could probably take this somewhere. and the other couple too? that means that really they weren't doing their job. persue it, i would. |
