since you're 21 and have a shitty driving record you better hope icbc dosn't get privatized...you'd be paying alot more for your car insurence then you do now. if you were a 50 year old woman with 16 years of driving without an accident i could see why you would want insurence to be privatized. With the current system people like you and me (especially me) are having their insurence subsidized by older drivers, so you better be carefull what you wish for.

if i lived in alberta id probably be paying 3500 a year for car insurence on a car that is only worth about 5k.

^^exactly. Laura, privatization wouldn't be such a great idea for you I think. Just because of everything that has happened to your car, they'll look at that and raise the prices. You don't need that!

HAHA I can just see Laura driving around on a scooter. She'd be weaving in and out of traffic and yelling at people through their windows.

and as for ICBC. I am not happy with them either...my car is only worth $1475 (gooo Ford Festivas!! HA!) and my insurance is much MUCH more this year. !@#!%

man icbc hates me too. I got my L and failed my N...cuz i went 75 in a school zone.
Now.. i'm suspended from icbc for quite a while for having 8 speed tickets and 2 no sign warnings and 3 parking tix. they took my liscence away. HAHA. whos leaving the country now?!?

$6000?!!? How many accidents have you been in? Ouch. That really sucks Laura. Dez, sounds to have the best advice. Move somewhere with better transit system because at 6k it just can't be affordable, for any budget.

In your case, I'm with ICBC. Those are nothing to be proud of.

Although I did fail my first N test for speeding in a school zone (40km only tho').

i failed my first N test cuz i had a femmnazi bitch who hated guys. proof? i took the test again the next week. flawless. the guy didnt even bother checking my parking.
