heh... i just got my driver's abstract printed out today for a job oppurtunity.

gives me warm fuzzies to know that i've been driving for 6 years and yet to get a ticket. especially since i'm usually speeding. :)

it's all a matter of knowing when to speed, and when not to. and if you get caught, being friendly to the cops pays off BIG.

I'm about this<--> close to getting my license suspensed! I tried to fight the speeding ticket at traffic court but the fuckin cop rite out lied rite in front of the JP!! FUCKIN PRICK!!! So I've already written a letter to the office of motor vehicles telling them why I can't be suspended...Now I wait for a reply to see if i get my license suspened...

yah, i got my lisecnece pulled, they made me pay $117 to get it back on top of my ticket, and only after one ticket!! stupid N's! ohwell i gots it back and everything is good except im on probation now.. so no speeding for a year it would seem....

Actually im a pretty safe driver and my record is clean...I got the speeding ticket at 330 in the morning on highway 1 with nobody around so I wasn't a danger to anyone, it wasn't like I was speeding in a skool zone on a week day. the cop was being prick plus in he lied in traffic court.

last summer i got a ticket for dui but i wasn't even driving!!! my friend with his L was driving n he was the only sober one!!! the cop told me that because the keys were in the ignition i could have driven (i was in the passenger seat and i was fucken hammered)...he made me do tests n shit...so then he gave me a $115 ticket or something like that...then a week later i got a letter in the mail saying that they decided to suspend my license for a month!!! it was a bitch omg!!!

i would have taken that one to court. usually the "could have driven" argument is used in situations where the driver is sleeping his drunk off in his car, with the keys somewhere near the ignition*. it's ludicrious to suggest that even though there was another driver in the car, you would/could have driven it. doing so sets a dangerous precedent about drunk driving and designated drivers. now, he might be able to argue that as the driver only had his L, that you were driving via proxy. however, it'd probably be pretty easy to argue that it was the driver's fault for having you in the passenger seat.

* in situations where you're sleeping off your drunk in your car, stick your keys under your hood. it's fairly strong evidence that you realized your mental state and had no intentions of driving until you sobered up.

The "you could have driven thing" is kinda bullshit. But if you're friend has their L, they're supposed to have a fully licensed driver in the passenger seat, which isn't you (not old enough for that). And even then, you're not supposed to be drunk. So even if you weren't doing the driving, you and the other person were still breaking all other sorts of rules. be glad you didn't get ticketed for those..
