Dude, Where's MY car?

This was almost my exact statement yesterday afternoon. Except for the fact I was talking to myself. I just finished work and went down into the parking garage and was about to head home. I walk over and discover something is missing, my car. Staff aren't allowed to park in the underground, so I figured my luck had run out and they finally towed me. I wish. My luck really ran out this time because its been stolen.

I have had lots of car problems in the past but this car has been flawless. I haven't had any isssues with it. Next week I was bringing it into the mechanic to give a tune up and an all around check. Thankfully, I never did it sooner or else I'd be even more pissed.

This has been a busy month for me. I've gone skydiving, got my car stolen, moved into a new place, and got a ticket for jaywalking. Yes, I said jaywalking.

Anyways, I lost a car and bunch of stuff inside. My golf clubs, my cds(again), clothes, car stuff, jackets, pair of shoes, and some house items I never took out of the car. It could have been worse for belongings, the only thing I'm choked about is the golf clubs. My meeting(interagation?) with ICBC is tomorrow, so we will see how it goes. I'm not too familar with what car insurance will cover. I think if its not bolted down it isn't covered. So, unless I can convince them I had a custom built golf club holder, I'm shit out of luck.

Its the most popular car to steal so its probably already in pieces and used for some chop shop. It would be nice to get it back because its such a hassle to deal with this. If it doesn't happen lets just hope they give me what the car is worth.

R.I.P - 94 Honda Civic - you will be missed.

Thanks for the support guys, I'll let you know how the whole situation turns out. ICBC says I have to wait for around 3 weeks before they declaire my car a loss. Hopfully they will give me what the girl is worth. Its such hassle dealing with this.

On a high note though, I've been drinking more because I haven't worried about transportation. Not exactly, I high note, but I'm reached as it is. give'r

Update:

They found some of my stuff. Sometimes it pays to be a slob and never throw anything out. I had a letter from arbitration in my truck when it was jacked and they found a bunch of my things. The police called and found three garbage bags full of my stuff dumped in an alley. They found a gas can and jumper cables; funny how I don't really need those at this time. An old recepit I really needed for my cell phone with 2yr warranty. I would have been screwed without it. Two pairs of shoes, I had in the back, and surprisingly enough my CDS ??? I couldn't believe it either. Why didn't they take my cds? My taste isn't that bad. So at least some things are looking up. I can put my mind at ease knowing my john tesh and kenny g cds are back where they belong. ;)

No sign of the golf clubs sadly, which I didn't expect.

^The car is covered, but any of the items inside the car would be under house insurance. Sadly, I don't have house insurance. I would love to use the excuse I just moved and haven't had the time to get it, but that would be a flat out lie. I'm a lazy bastard, and like the rest of the world think all those crappy things you see on tv will never happen to me. I really don't have much of valuable in the house anyways, but its fairly cheap so its something I'm going to definately look into.

So your down for the Finger 11? We have to organize a drink before hand.

Brad, you son of a bitch! Do you realize how dangerous jaywalking is? Both my parents, my 3 sisters and my goldfish, all died in a tragic jaywalking accident. You're lucky that cop was on his game that day and gave you a ticket befor something terrible happened to you. You should thank that cop for saving your life, maybe send him a fruit basket or something.

Come to think of it, I saw an episode of Jerry Springer the other night, about out of control teens. There was this one chick who was 12 years old and she was already jaywalking on a regular basis. 12 years old dammit! I mean it's bad enough that kids are having sex and doing drugs but to see them jaywalking at such a young age, it's fucking sick I tell you. SICK!!!

Uber Happy Update:

They found my car. Its was found in Vancouver on 13th hundred block and 27th E. Apparently no damage, except the ignition has been punched out. It's going to be towed into ICBC for a full check up and then I get my baby back. Happy Days.

I can't believe it!

lame-o!!!

They break into models and series of cars that are easy to get into.

92-97 Civics can be broken into with nothing more than a flathead screwdriver. Design flaw in the door lock.
