wtf..so they get 300 hundred kids to go online all at once and its the race of who's computer's faster and can log into the site fastest. STUPID. if i dont get the courses i want for next semester im going to flip.. roar.

now i have to wait for the next web opening at 4:30 so i can race again to make it onto WAITING LISTS! fun times.

such a pathetic system.

i rather my school NOT have online registration..
when 300 ppl go comp friendly on the site it crashes and NOTHIGN works.. i hate depending on technology.

its hilarious 300 kids..and each class fits 18 ppl. fun times.

i was freakin out thinkin i didn't get any courses registered..then i found out i got all my classes except english.. stupid online registration webpage. they need a blinking "YOU ARE DONE REGISTRATING!!!" page.

online registration, even if it crashes, is still infinately preferable to phone registration.

^definatley. SFU finally got their online thing going on. Up until now the online reg. was simply impossible or messed up but aparently they upgraded??

IMAGINE HAVING TO HOLD ONE CORDLESS PHONE IN EACH HAND and press redial on each of them as soon as you hear the busy signal.. you can't even sip a coffee or eat breakfast while you're trying to register on the phone.

AND! You also get cut off after exceeding your time limit, which is like.. 5 minutes or something. AND THEN YOU HAVE TO HANG UP AND CALL AGAIN FOR NOAHTER 20 minute with 2 cordless phones in your hand.

yeah, from the sounds of it, phone registration bites. i still hate online though...the one at mcgill just says that the server is too busy for hours. and then when you finally are able to log-in, all the popular courses are maxed out. there's no waiting lists. you just have to check back periodically, and if it just so happens that someone withdrew from the course, you can add it. but it's totally by chance and not by first come first serve.

thats fucked...ubc is pretty easy..it never crashes, and you can sign up for waiting lists.

Fuck the only course I could get into that I actually needed was 18th-20th century British Literature, which I'm only gonna take because it's transferable.

Other courses available to me were Mandarin 101, Geography Systems (non-transferable)

Douglas online registration is pretty good, u just have to make sure that you have a good gpa, or u will be bumped to the last day, and things tend to fill up fast
