so yea, just installed a new cd rewriter in my comp about an hour ago, and my fucking power supply decides to blow up.. thankfully i still got my laptop tho, but still.. wtf. it wasn't overloaded or anything, i just replaced my old cd writer which had also conked out not too long ago. ugh there goes another $100.

why does a power supply cost you a $100??? More like 20-40 at the max.

Yeah. I'd spend about that much on a power supply, case fan and tower all in one...

If you really don't care about customer service just go to Atic.

i know there are cheaper ones, but i was looking at getting a 450-500W supply, which does run at about $100.

you spend $100 on all that? my case alone originally cost me about $300, but then again it is a Lian-Li PC70 24" aluminum tower with 6 case fans.. btw i got it about 3-4 years ago when i had a lot of money to blow.. and i don't care about customer service cause i install everything myself, im planning on picking up a new power supply at a-power.
