Ok ok... i must admit it seems a bit off on how the people in the starting lineups this year are having a sub-par season by their standards.... but this raises a point that I think that most of the voting is based on last years performances at the end of the season and playoffs...... based on bert's play this year and modano & turco's they shouldn't be starting....

everyone except turco is deserving of a starting role in the game.... just not based on it so far this year....

i'd take modano on my team any fuckin day of the year.... WICKED WICKED hockey player.... he's just slumpin' right now

Bert is having a sub par season and i dont think he deserves to start. Naslund should be starting for sure. I personally hate how the all-star system works. Its all based on who is more popular and not on who is having an all star season. The all-star game should be about who is having the best season. Thats how the system should work. But it wont and its gonna be like this for awhile. And as for the dallas players on the starting team? What the fuck is with that. Dallas sucks ass. I mean fuck put Iginla in. Or Datsyuk or Sakic. Goddamn weak all-star line up.

Is Datsyuk a center? He would definetly get my nod over Modano if that's the case. If he isn't, then Sakic would.

Hey, he's a great player... no question about that. But he's NOT having a great year, even by his own admission, and places in any given year's All Star game are supposed to be decided by what the player did in the first 40 or so games of THAT SEASON.

It's pretty retarded. Should have been Naslund, Bert and Datsyuk or Sakic up front. Can't argue with Blake and Lidstrom on the blueline. Cloutier deserved a shot at #1 goalie (anyone catch that performance against Anaheim last night?? Holy shit) but so does Calgary's Kyprysov (no idea how to spell that) and many others. Lots of good goalie stats out there with so few goals being scored this year.

datsyuk is a center, and yes oh god was cloutier awesome vs anaheim.

aebischer is probably the only other goalie doing consistently well this year in the west.

kiprusoff (sp?) has been awesome, but he hasn't played all year in calgary.
