Wisdom teeth

So i have to go in and get my wisdom teeth pulled tommorrow.. :soak: there gonna put me under with a gen. anesthetic and i won't be able to do anything that "requires good judgement" for 24 hours.. Also gonna attach a couple iv's to me or something.. shit i dunno what to expect never been put under or had any surgery before. Hopefully the drugs make up for it. Also i only have 3 wisdom teeth instead of 4, so maybe it will be less painful.

aww, that sucks so much. I had all 4 pulled at once, when i was awake *cringes from memories*...so terrible. I looked like a freakin' chipmunk for a week! Good luck with that.

it's really not that bad. i had mine down (all 4) with conscious sedation. so basically a iv with valium.

i couldn't do anything that required good judgement for 24hrs either.. like drive, but not like i wanted to afterwards anyways.

the best advice is just to get them all out at once, cause once you do it you want to do it a second time, but you're already doing that.

for me, the top two didn't hurt alot at all, it was my bottom two that caused most pain. only because they were impacted, so it took a bit more to get them out.

well just got back from the surgery... woke up covered in blood, had an iv and a tube up my nose, fuck ma mouth hurts like a bitch. :finger:

i had one wisdom tooth removed, my doc had to cut my tooth into 3 pieces. i didn't feel a thing, but the vibrations of the saw through my jaw wasn't overly fun.

yah i got my wisdom teeth pulled a year ago, they put me right to sleep, all 4 of them were impacted. what bothered me the most after were the stiches :soak: ...but i got lotsa pain pills :toasted: :trippin: haha

when i got all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled it was the best thing ever, i went to this crazy specialist guy, and they gased me with nitrous so i got all floaty, and normally i get all weirded out when doctors give u a IV, but the nitrous calmed be down then i passed out, and felt high as a kite when i awoke, then when i got home took some oxycodone and some t3's and felt fine, teeth didn't hurt the next day. ice helps...

i gotta agree with partyxprincess, the stiches are the worst part...they are so damn annoying. My dentist didn't put the dissolvable stiches in, so i had to go in like 2 weeks later to get them taken out, it sucked. The operation itself doesn't really hurt, it's just the fact that there cutting your mouth open while your awake that sucks...and feeling the pressure of them yanking out your teeth...yuck.

yea i gettin mine pulled soon, going to a specialist tho. i recommend everyone go to a specialist no matter wut you r dentist sayus. my bro had a horror story from this at the dentist alotho he was told "it will be very simple" hahha yea right you fucking bitch. told me tha same thing, FUCK YA>?! i cant wait for the nitrous, they gon have to pry that thing outta my hands

most specialists won't take you without a recommendation. i luckily got one from my dentist (she's coolbeans).
if you don't have good coverage though, you're screwed. the whole thing cost me about $2,000, but i only had to pay about $250 of that thankfully..

ok well pain isn't as bad now.. prolly cause im drugged up on T3's, advil, dexamethisone, and penicillin. lol but yea they cut all my wisdom teeth into pieces before taking them out too and i went to a specialist so it prolly wasn't as bad as it coulda been. anyways gotta take another T3 now :toasted:

i had all four done as well, went under and shit fro it and mine were still in my jaw so they had to break them in the jaw and fish them out. i had no pain at all. didnt even take my t-3's and the next day i ha to go get a bone can done for my shoulders and i was walking around teh hospital even went out shopping for a bit and then did the scan, i was fine. a little light headed but fine. jsut make sure you listen to what they say. dont talk, eat the proper stuff your supposed to eat and take it easy.

I had a copious amount of jello and soup, a loving girlfriend, about 72 hours of DVDs and couch space.

I wish I could get my wisdom teeth pulled again.

best part about gettin my wisdom teeth pulled had to be the constant flow of ice cream and popcicles
but you have to change flavours constantly or you get bored of it :P
