razor burn

fuck i hate this shit, somtimes i get so bad sometimes i dont get it at all, feels like burning.. anyone know how to prevent or help take this away??

I find that having a hot shower either immediately after or just before shaving really reduces razor burn.

make sure your using warm water usually razor burns come from shaving off your goosebumps, also find a cream that is hypoalergenic, and the new razor thing can be good.

don't use nivea, it's crap.... just use GOOD razors, some quality gel shaving cream (gillette is fine - has moisturizers in it, i don't even need aftershave) and like somebody else said do it right after a shower, and make sure to rinse the razor regurlarely with really hot water.

i wouldn't use nivea shaving cream, but they have a mens line of after shave stuff, such as a moisturizer. nivea moisturizers are really good too.

Hot shower, the Body Shop's shaving cream, warm water on the Mach 3. All you need, trust me.

The Body Shop's shaving cream costs like $14 or so, lasts me 6 months of shaving 5 days a week. and smells good.

shave WITH the grain. shave in the direction your hair naturaly grows. it will make your shave a little less close but alot less painfull.

do not listen to this information... shaving a male's face vs. females legs is no useful comparison. Shaving against the grain on the neck greatly decreases the number of razor strokes and therefore irritation as well, and the only way not miss half of it - you simply must be using a razor that can handle it... but if you aren't usin a mach 3 by now then this thread is lost on you my friend.

it was a suggestion. obviously everyones body/hair is going to be different. so it's quite possible niether of us gave him the solution that's right for him.

just because i'm a girl doesn't mean i know nothing about grooming people of a different sex.
