Stupid Work

So I get a call this morning at 2 am because a few servers wouldn't boot up and we need them going before 6 am. Of course none of the other guys are responding to pages or phone calls (they are sleeping like normal people). To top it off, I just moved Downtown and sold my car last week, so I had to take a cab all the way to Surrey (65 bucks!). Fuck... oh well. I'm done ranting now.

WTF do you do with a cab ride that long? I can't even manage the small talk it takes to get home from the club...haha

I had to give him directions, so that made the trip a little faster... hah, I don't think this guy had left Vancouver before.

And no day off, just started earler... at least I'm done in about an hour. :)

the best was 4am on christmas, turns out some dumb fuck left a disk in the 3.5 drive, and then rebooted it remotely.

Hahah.. oh man.. kinda like what happened here. The KVM died and someone rebooted remotely, so it got a keyboard error and requires you to hit F1 to make it boot.
