getting my teeth pulled...

so I'm getting 2 bottom wisdom teeth pulled, along with 2 cavities on tuesday.

total of $768.

then after that, I'll be getting my upper 2 wisdom teeth pulled out.

total of $560

grand total of $1328.... *sigh* there goes trying to pay for tuition next semester.

looks like I'm going to be a broke bum for a while. fucking hell.

that sucks :(

can't you have them pull all your wisdom teeth at once, or is that a bad idea with the cavities being done as well? i got all four of my wisdom teeth out at once, even though only the bottom two needed to be removed at that time. i'm sure combining the two [if you can] could make it a bit cheaper on you?

Get the UBC dental students to do it for you.

Seriously, call them up and find out.

You'll get a really good discount.

i got all 4 of my teeth removed. it totalled about $2000 in the end, and i only paid $200 for the drugs. that was it.

NOT WHEN YOU HAVE A PATHETIC EXCUSE FOR A JOBLESS, GOOD-FOR-NOTHING ASIAN FATHER (but that's a whooole different thread)

and no, my school doesn't offer any dental coverage or anything like that.

I could have all 4 wisdom teeth taken out at the same time but the fact is I just don't have the extra $500+ :(
but no, I doubt he'd make it cheaper because he's already giving me a 10% student discount on it.

I've heard about that! the only thing I worry about is that my dentist told me that my teeth are really close to the nerve and the bone(?). I'm just super-worried about anything bad happening and I think my fears would increase if I were in the hands of a student..

but hey, what's the number? maybe they can do my filling! :p

if the students mess up they will fail.

it gives them more incentive to do a better job.

oh, that's too bad.
i did all 4 of mine at once since it would be cheaper to have just the one day, instead of two. mine was just under $2000 for all 4, but if i had them done separately it would cost almost $1000 more :\

at least you're getting the student discount, that does help.

i'm SUPER lucky that my dad's my dentist. saves a heck of a lot of money. he used to bring home the needle and the rest of his dental tools and pull my teeth while i was watching tv in the living room.
