fuck i hate those god damn mofos! even tho i've done it myself at times it pisses me the fuck off, the guys who wait till the last second and have a bid 1 cent higher! DAMNIT lol more a sense of frustration then anger but thought id share

Ya, I know.

This is why with ebay, I only usually use the 'buy it now' option instead of worrying about auctions.

I totally suck at ebay :(

ebay rocks, but I hate being outbid, you just have to stay there and monitor it for the last 10min of the auction. I've won all the bids I've bid on. Just keep refreshing and monitoring.

It is annioying yes but i end up spending way to much money on e bay and i just started about a month ago. there is just so much i want to buy it is hard to control my spending

It's real simple. DO NOT BID AT ALL! this just drives the price up. wait until the last 5 minutes, get 5 browsers open with your bids all queued up, then place your bid, refresh over and over to make sure you don't get outbid. Real simple. it's the idiots that keep bidding that drive the price up, it's only the last bid that counts. of course, no one realizes this. Just sit on the auction, swoop in during the last few minutes.

^^ good advice, but because i'm so forgetful when it comes to stuff like this, i like going back and making a bid once in a while (esp as the days are counting down close) so i can be reminded of how long the auction still has before it ends. otherwise if i'm not online (or sometimes even when i am), i'll totally forget and then get outbid completely. that happened with me today on this cell phone i really wanted. got caught up 2 hours longer at work and then the auction was already over by the time i got home. actually, i didn't even realise until a bit later. frustration!

exactly what i do. i assumed everybody would do the same but i guess after readin this thread they dont. im not saying those who dont do it are dumbasses it is tempting to just bid rite away when u see it. but chill out calm down and wait.
