Safe house fallout

The closure of three youth safe houses in Vancouver seems to have left a lot of young kids with fewer choices. Former safe house worker Dana Bower says more young kids have been spotted on the street lately. Those looking for help are being forced to share quarters with older, more street entrenched teens. Kids hoping to get into the older homes also have to be clean for 72 hours first. Bower says this policy eliminates close to 90 percent of their clientele. Some kids are also taking shelter in Downtown Eastside hotels. The safe houses lost their government funding March 31st.
What haven't they cut yet? And what the fuck is next...our necks?
