Ok, so I have a WICKED job interview tomorrow morning at Virgin, but you have to write this HUGE test before hand. It asks you everything about ALL types of music, multimedia, etc. and you have nothing to prepare for it. It's just to place you in the proper section of the store, but STILL....a huge test....so once you're done the test you still have to be stressing cuz you have to do an interview afterwards...argh...it's not THAT big of a deal, but still!

Ahh.. tests of any sort suck! But good luck with it! And good luck with the job interview!!

But the good thing bout that test would be if you did get the job, you get put in a GOOD section.. not a crappy one ya don't want! hehe =]

Just pray that you don't answer the test in such a way that makes them hire you for toilet duty. :041:

it's not that bad of a test.

i wouldn't 'study' for it. it basicly is open ended enough that it lets you show your intense knowledge of certain parts of the store 'video games, art books, hip hop... whatever you're into..).

the interview after is based on the test and the available postions. they ask you questions like 'what is you favorite *insert genre of book/music/game/magazine here* and why?'

just be perky and vibrant and try to latch on to something you really *love* and then let that come through in the way you write the test and talk to them.

A person I know that works there gave me a very vague description and kinda scared me with this test thing. However you've totally reassured me! I damn well BETTER get this job! I can totally latch onto a few areas of that store FOR SURE! You work there?

I didnt even get a gruelling interview process like that to make $38k / year!!!!

I DID IT!! It wasn't that bad, infact people I spoke to that work there said they even had tons of blanks....but I showed the manager what I have to offer and she ate it up!!! :) So they are calling me in a couple days to do a final interview...hope & pray people.

i applied once, and i have a few friends who just got hired there, and our experiences were about the same.
