Stupid debit system being down...It makes my job more of a hassle (manual Visa/MC/Amex, no debit, pissy customers), and on top of it all there are no Royal Bank machines in the neighbourhood of my work, so I have to go to Scotia Bank and get dinged service fees just so I can have lunch.

No idea...Virus or a fibre-optic line getting severed are my votes, and I lean toward the FOL.

working at the bank on a long weekend when debit goes down...and everyone yells at you, like you're the one resposible

it goes down almost all the major shopping days of the year, the system gets too overloaded with transactions all at once and stops communicating

I don't understand why, if they know too many useers is the problem, how come they can't expand the network to handle more simaltaneous transactions?

Never! Manual credit rocks! I also wish they'd do away with the till so I could use an abacus to add everything up!
