Tangling headphone wires!!!?!?!?

WHY AND HOW THE FUCK DOES IT HAPPEN??

i mean.. i leave it in my bag for like 5 minutes - and when i take it out, its been tangled to the fullest. I couldn't even make such a naugt even if i tried.

what is the mystery behind this??

I know how ya feel it really pisses me off when that happens...luckily i'm good at gettin out knots. It's hella frusterating tho!

wow. i thought i was the only one who had problems with this. i don't understand it.
the second you put em away, they just automatically tangle themselves up. they need headphones that you can't tangle up. yeah, someone should invent those.

You are not being one with the force.

Get a 3' long piece of rope and start learning ways of packing it without getting it knotted. Later, move on to the headphones.

This is one good reason why everybody should have been in Boy Scouts.

^ no matter how good you "pack" it.. it still gets fucked up.
not like it will keep the loop shape after packing it.

I've got headphones with ~10' of cord.

Not once have I gotten it tangled.

Looping is probably the worst practice and almost guarantees knotting.

I prefer ratsnesting or looping then making a loose figure-8 knot so it doesn't come undone.

I guess it depends on your headphones. Its never happened on my mdr 700's.. but those stupid, lil plastic earsets... ugh

Trust me. The problem here isn't in your headphones. Over-the-heads are easy. Wrap them around the earpieces.

Clips just require you to know more about strings and ropes than your average duck. It's a good skill to have in a hunter/gatherer sense.

but have you NEVER left your headphones in your bag.. not packed? I just don't understand how it gets tangled so harsh.

i was a girl guide, is that close enough?

anyways it totally depends on the headphones as to which tangle worse. the biggest problem is my little panasonic ear buds. i've yet to figure out a way to not tangle these things. i don't even have to put them in my bag. i can lie them down on a table and they managed to tangle themselves. i really don't understand it.

as i said before.. I skimmed through an article once.. which had explained the nature of this situation. though i stopped reading as it got really complicated.. comparing wires and strings with chromosomes.. and why the wrap around eachother.
