1 fucking day off

I work my ass of pulling 10-12 hour days and I haven't even taken a single vacation since I've started here and I ask for ONE fucking day off so I can move, one fucking day (which is a Friday which means there won't even be much for me to do anyways) and I get refused.

I am so mad right now, I really really really needed this one stupid day off because I am moving the next day.

yah I considered that. Just take some blush and put it under your eyes to make them look all red and puffy. Then go into work and just start faking some crazy alergy attack or something. lol ;)

either that or smoke one of my 420 joints that I bring regurlary that'll get your eyes nice and puckered up!

K, here is waht I do when I want a day off...

a) Talk to the Head Supervisor, not some random scrubs below him/her.
b) Make it formal, write out a document on Works/Word/Whatever you use, make it about half a page, explaining why you need the day off and why you DESERVE the day off.
c) Make sure its in an envelope (Even more formality).
d) Pass it to the supervisor when you start your shift and tell them to read it over when they have the time, dont just stand there and wait for them to read it, will seem like you are pushy and will look like your killing time doing nothing.

At my place, we are always strapped for time, when I just aproach my super and ask for a day off, I tend not to get it, but when I make it formal, they see that I actually put time into it and actually need the day off.

can't you go over your managers head, or to HR or something? i mean, moving is important and the day is pretty non-negotiable. failing that, you could always flip out and stab your manager in the face in a fit of RAGE.

If work gets stingy like that, get stingy yourself; If you're not recieving salary, start filling time cards to the minute. Take lunch and coffee breaks to exactly 29 or 30 minutes. Work your 40/week and start refusing to work overtime, etc.
Work should respect you, and vice versa.
