I cant dance........so what!

Now Im not much of a complainer but what I really dont get is how self centered people can be at times. Everybody who has ever been to a party has had a first time, and to go beyond that, nobody in this world was born able to dance. Dancing, like anything in life, is a teaching that can be practiced till perfection (or until at least total domination).
So how can people who have been dancing for years seriously be so cocky about their ability that they shun out everybody whom is below them. Do they not realize that they were in the EXACT same position at one point in time or another (be it years and years ago) where they were havin troubles dancin too.

I love partyin, and nothing is going to stop me from hittin it up on the dancefloor because honestly there is no better freedom in this world then moshin with a hundred other partiers with booming bass infesting your ear drums ---- but I mean seriously, grow up and join the maturity level of everybody else.

Now odviously I do not speak of everyone, most of the majority of the people have been completly awesome (which is what makes parties so much fun) but, as always in life, there are that small group of people whom consider themselves the greatest and everybody else is nothing......ya.....its pathetic.

Anyway, now that I got that off my chest.

your very right, though some people it comes very naturally to, and some people work very hard at it, some peope let things go to their head, and think they are better than everyone else, (one person i know imparticular) but if your having fun who cares what anyone else thinks! My favorite dancers are the ones with a big huge smile on their face.

I'm sorry you feel this way, but there's just one thing I have to ask:
Has anyone actually said anything to you to make you feel stupid or not good enough? I didn't really read anything concrete that says people make you feel this way on purpose. I'm thinking maybe this is a feeling you're placing on yourself. Maybe you're feeling a little insecure in a new crowd?
Maybe step back and look at the way you are feeling around people who are better dancers, or a group of people that may not know you.
The better dancer is not dancing just to hurt your feelings, and the group of people is not excluding you on purpose. Maybe you're shunning yourself.
If you show up to a party feeling like everyone is immature and judging you, then that's what you think is happening. I bet you anything these dancers you speak of, are trying to impress you more than anything ;)

Dancing is a form of expression..its not a popularity contest.. People who dance good have every right to be proud of themselves..show off. There are SOOOOO many ways to dance..Its all about how you feel. Who cares what other people think ;)

no worries. and thanks for you concern. but no its not quite an insecure thing at all because I still go out there and give it all no matter what people think simply because there is no feeling the world that can replace the feeling of dancing on the floor with a bunch of partiers and havin a great time.

actually honestly I didnt care, and still dont care to too much, until my last party and some guy just came up to me and started bein a dick. and that just got me thinking about it. but meh, some people are like that sometimes.
