ok hi i havent done Math since grade 9.. and im doing grade 11 math now (essentials).. algebra is sooo easy... the sucky part of math is fractions.. STUPID FRACTIONS!

calculus is a more advanced science yet most people find linear algebra more difficult. mathematical concepts are more evolved in cal 2 but the volume of information you churn through in linear algebra is greater. it's easy to immediately see applications of calculus whereas linear algebra's purpose is not always so clear, hence it can seem very tedious while calculus always seems relevant.

Linear algebra is relatively simple and multivariable calc isn't much different from single variable (although vector calculus gets a little harder), it's Partial Differential Equations that are the real bitch - fuck i hate them!

^ when do you learn those? I'm in calc one right now, just learning about differentiables...

it's actually a 3rd year course (although some engineering suckers have to take in 2nd year) - so unless your continuing on with a math intensive major (physics, engineering, comp sci & commerce maybe??) I wouldn't worry about them, although you might take the precursor to it which is "Ordinary Differential equations" but it's quite a bit easier. It just really sucks because it's all about solving equations with derivatives in the equation and there is no real prescribed method to doing it and things get really ugly.
